The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) will meet with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres on Wednesday (March 15). The meeting will be held at 1 pm at the capital’s Hotel Intercontinental. BNP media cell member Shairul Kabir Khan confirmed this information on Tuesday (March 14). He said that several leaders of the party, including BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir, will participate in the meeting.
It is worth noting that the UN Secretary-General arrived in Bangladesh on a four-day visit last Thursday (March 13) at the invitation of Principal Advisor Professor Muhammad Yunus. During the visit, he met with the Principal Advisor, Foreign Affairs Advisor and the High Representative of the Principal Advisor on Rohingya Affairs. He visited the Rohingya refugee camp in Cox’s Bazar and praised Bangladesh’s generosity towards the Rohingya and thanked Bangladesh for its contribution to peacekeeping.
